What is Extra Care Housing?
Extra care housing offers self-contained flats or apartments where residents have their own front door, but with access to on-site care and support services. This setup combines the freedom of living independently with the security and support of a care facility.
24-Hour Support
Staff are available around the clock to provide personal care and support services, including help with washing, dressing, medication management, and other daily tasks.
Personalised Care Plans
Support plans are tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and assistance.
Emergency Assistance
Residents have access to emergency help through alarm systems, ensuring prompt response in case of urgent needs.
Social Activities
Communal areas and organized social activities promote community engagement and reduce isolation.
Flexible Living Arrangements
Extra care housing can be rented, and is available through private providers or local councils following a care needs assessment.

Additionally, we’ve received multiple 4- and 5-star reviews from several happy residents’ family members, the most important feedback of all.
We are excited to be developing this as our seventh extra care scheme in the borough, providing good quality homes and consistent support for older people entering their later life, and younger people who would benefit from assisted living.
Our service provides support to enable our residents to live as independently and comfortably as possible, including help with day-to-day living through direct support and assistive technology equipment, which can help to make life easier.
